The creation of Apizza di Napoli® comes from a profound love of Italy and a passion for pizza.
Cliff's grandparents immigrated to the USA from the city of Amalfi. Born and raised in New Haven, CT., Cliff first came to Aiken, South Carolina in 1982. He realized that the CSRA had none of the Italian delights that he grew up with. For many years Cliff had practiced recreating the foods that he missed. This desire to create was not only a craving for good pizza but a passion and a passion he bagan to share with friends and family.
In 2012 with the support of his wife Wanda a native of Naples, Italy that passion and dream became a reality and Apizza di Napoli was born

Recognized on TripAdvisor and Yelp as one of the top pizzerias; our menu is one created from the heart. Our passion shows in the food we create and share. Our menu maintains it’s traditional concept since its’ inception in 2012 where we believe that quality is more important than quantity.
With the help of his wife Wanda & his head pizzaiola Kirstyn we continually come up with new ideas and update our award-winning menu which continues to grow and delight so you keep coming back. Soon to be serving pasta dishes that are sure to please!

Our People & Customers are Everything
Ours is a very casual restaurant with atmosphere. We want you to feel welcomed, whether dressed up for a nice night out on the town or dressed down for a relaxing evening with friends. We try to offer very high quality food at a reasonable price. Our guests order at the front counter, find themselves a seat and we take it from there. We deliver the food to your table when it’s ready and we bus the table when you leave.
We are a family run business, not only are we family but we look after our employees as family. This not only applies to our employees but this sense of family extends to our customers as well. We take time to get to know our regular customers and they become apart of the Apizza di Napoli family. We do things differently and it takes some time to get familiar with how we do things, but once you realize we are more European style dining you can relax and enjoy the experience. We want you to enjoy the food, the people you are dining with or just your alone time. Enjoy the music and the videos, we never want anyone to feel that they are pressured to hurry up eat and leave, even on busy nights. Our employees are paid a living wage and although tips are appreciated they are not necessary.
Craftsmanship of Cooking and Tradition
Cliff Garzzillo is a trained and certified pizzaiolo who is proud to serve you traditional Neapolitan wood-fired pizza made from premium ingredients imported from Italy. This strong statement is backed by our commitment to specifically selected high quality ingredients, made in a traditional manner with old world equipment. For example, our pizzas are made with San Marzano Tomatoes, which come from the base of Mount Vesuvius in Naples, we also use Fresh Whole Milk and Buffalo Mozzarella. Our dough is made from the finest "00" flour imported from Italy. All of this combined with a passion for pizza gives you the best "real" pizza you can find in South Carolina.
